North to South Israel Bike Ride - Jason Greenspan
Hello friends.
Having not ridden a bike in over a year, I will be cycling the full length of Israel (over 500km from Metula/ Kiryat Shmoneh on the Lebanese border to Eilat on the shores of the Red Sea) in 5 days in May to raise money for UJIA projects.
The main beneficiary will be the Carmiel Children's Village in the Galillee in Northern Israel, which is one of UJIA's supported projects.
I personally visited there in January 2017 and was both inspired and humbled. The village is home to over 200 children who cannot live with their parents for a variety of reasons ranging from being orphaned to their parents being too unwell to look after them or even being in prison.
The love and care these children receive from their "house parents", who selflessly look after them alongside, in many cases, their own children is truly amazing and means that most of the children who are at Carmiel go on to achieve much in life, serve in the IDF, study and contribute to society in Israel. Carmiel gives these children real life chances.
For more info see www.ujia.org/project/carmiel-childrens-village
Any support you can give me will be very much appreciated and will make a big difference to the work of UJIA
Thank you!
Jason.

No way I can't support this particular effort. Just remember two things: 1: it never gets easier. You just get faster. 2: Training is like wrestling a gorilla. You don't stop when you are tired, you stop when the gorilla is.
