Meshuga Bike Ride - THE WHOLE OF ISRAEL by Rabbi Dovid
Who is crazier me for joining or them for allowing me to?
I don't know, but I can tell you that together with over 50 riders, I will cycle the length of Israel from the very top (Kyriat Shmona) to the very bottom (Eilat) – that’s over 700km in just 5 days!
We will ride in sizzling temperatures, climb thousands of meters and navigate around crazy Israeli drivers.
And its not even going to be much of a change of scenery as I'm still going to be spending my time looking at my congregants - although hopefully they will be looking at my "tochus" as I speed past them all!!
However, it will be fun - and hard work. Lots of hard work, both in preparation and on the ride itself. Which is why I need you.
I am riding to raise much needed funds for the UJIA supported Carmiel Children’s Village, home to over 200 children orphaned or court ordered to leave their families. With your help we will be refurbishing one of the family homes in memory of Darren Walshaw z”l. The ride will also support A Smile for Orly, a Manchester based charity in memory of Orly Feddy z”l which provides services and support to local children’s activities.
I am aiming to raise £3,000 and would very much appreciate your support.
