Kevan's UJIA North to South Bike Ride
I have decided to join over 50 riders from all across England and cycle the length of Israel from the very top (Kyriat Shmona) to the very bottom (Eilat) – that’s over 500km in just 5 days! But that's as the crow flies so the real total will be nearer to 150Km per day for 5 consecutive days.
We will ride in sizzling temperatures, climb thousands of meters and navigate around crazy Israeli drivers. Although it certainly will be a nice change of scenery from the office, it will not be a joy ride. I have already invested hours of hard training in order to complete this mammoth task. That's not to mention the dieting and rubbish weather we've had.
We are riding to raise much needed funds for the UJIA supported Carmiel Children’s Village, home to over 200 children orphaned or court ordered to leave their families. We will be refurbishing one of the family homes in memory of Darren Walshaw z”l. The ride will also support A Smile for Orly, a Manchester based charity in memory of Orly Feddy z”l which provides services and support to local children’s activities.
I am aiming to raise £3000 and would very much appreciate your support.
I know I asked for help 2 years ago but if you can spare a thought for these fantastic projects it would be amazing.
Love to all.
