Jake Wertheim Ethiopian Barmitzvah Twinning
In the run up to my bar mitzvah I wanted to help someone who is less fortunate than me. So I have twinned with an Ethiopian Israeli and am raising money so that my "twin" can learn with their parents and have a bar mitzvah. They have a difficult time because their parents don't speak Hebrew so the roles are often reversed - they don't have it easy like me. So during the programme they are given some of the chances that I take for granted, like using a computer.
I need to raise £1,200 so I'm going to go through all my toys, books and other things to sell in a car boot sale (if you have anything to add to my Sale fell free to contribute and we will pick it up and we will be thank full thank you) and i am going to challenge myself to walk the Arley circular walk. For those of you that know me well, know that walking over 5 miles will not be easy for me so please please be generous with your sponsorship so I can reach my target and my twin and his family can have opportunities that they wouldn't be able to have.
